About Laura
Bonjour!
I am currently a third-year student at the University of St Andrews reading Classics. I was born and raised in France, and French is thus my mother tongue, but I also speak fluently English and Spanish.
I am currently tutoring three people at varying levels: basic French, preparation for GCSE, and Advanced French.
I have always been eager to share French culture, be it its language, history, literature or cuisine, and because of this passion I am today the president of the St Andrews French Society, where I am in charge of managing cultural events and a small committee. This is the third year where I attend at least twice a month French conversation events organised by the society: there, I speak with people wishing to practice their French speaking skills in a relaxed environment, so I am used to engaging in French with people looking to improve their conversation as well as grammar skills.
In my last two years of school, I chose the literary pathway ("filière littéraire") of the French baccalaureate, meaning it had a strong focus on literature, philosophy, and languages. If needed to, I would be happy to bring more focus onto other aspects of French culture during tutoring sessions.

I can adapt to what students would need in order for them to truly improve and achieve the best possible results. My goal is for them to learn in an enjoyable environment where they would really progress while appreciating their learning of French.
Concerning location of classes, I am happy to have them at my place or somewhere in town. I'm happy to discuss transportation arrangement depending on the distance.
