About Hope
Hello! My name is Hope, and I am a native English speaker from Scotland. I have a passion for language, literature, and helping others build their confidence in English. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds and believe that learning should be both engaging and enjoyable. I want to teach because I find it rewarding to help students achieve their goals, whether that is improving conversational English, developing academic writing skills, or gaining confidence in everyday communication.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual goals. I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable and confidence-building, so I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
As a native English speaker, I can help students improve their conversational English, pronunciation, listening skills, vocabulary, and overall confidence in using English in real-life situations.
In addition to conversational English, I can support students with English literature, reading comprehension, and essay writing skills. I can help learners analyse texts, develop critical thinking, structure arguments effectively, and improve grammar, vocabulary, and academic writing.
Whether you are learning for travel, work, study, or personal interest, I adapt lessons to suit your needs and interests.
I understand that everyone learns at a different pace, and I am patient, encouraging, and committed to helping students develop confidence and achieve their goals.
