About Kimmy
Originally from South Africa, I've had the privilege of living in various countries across Asia, the Middle East, and now Australia, where I completed my degree. Traveling the world has deepened my appreciation for meeting people from all walks of life. At 22, I work full-time as a Real Estate Agent, but I’m passionate about helping students improve their English in my spare time. I’ve tutored students aged 6-15 both online and in-person, creating personalized lesson plans and following structured curricula. I also helped one student prepare for the TOEFL exam. When I’m not working or tutoring, I enjoy long walks with my golden retriever and partner, exploring new cafes and restaurants around the city. Are you looking for an engaging, interactive, and personalized approach to learning English? I am a native English speaker and graduate of the University of Melbourne, with experience teaching students between the ages of 6 and 15. After teaching a host of students with differing backgrounds, I have curated an in-depth understanding of how to accommodate students with English as a first or second language. My goal in all lessons is to provide an interactive, fun and personalized learning experience that fosters a love for the English language. Whether it's improving reading, writing, speaking, or listening skills, I believe in creating a positive and supportive environment that encourages confidence and curiosity. I utilize a variety of dynamic teaching methods, including games, storytelling, and real-world language applications, to ensure that every lesson is engaging and tailored to the unique needs of each student. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to refine their skills, I aim to make learning English an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Lessons with me can typically range between 50 minutes - 2 hours depending on your child's needs while of course taking any needed breaks in between.
