About María José
I have been speaking English since birth, on top of living in the United States for 6 years. Having completed 2 years courses in reading, comprehension and analysis of International Baccalaureate texts in both English and Spanish (BI - Higher Level English: Language and Literature, Spanish Higher Level: Language and Literature). I have worked as a translator for several international companies and been a private tutor for adults of advanced level and young children starting with the language. I am currently editor of a fabulous Mexican writer in her next publication of English historical novel.

My teaching method tries to adapt as much as possible to the student and their learning methods. It is based on a set of factors; support material (such as books, records, games), continuous conversation without interruptions and a lot of respect for the learning process and the time involved. However, I would like to think of it as a non-routine, dynamic moment in which one enjoys learning. As a private teacher, I seek to understand the student's purpose in learning the language and thereby set measurable and attainable goals for it. In the same way, I look for the commitment of the student as much as mine to achieve them.
