About Runyu
My name is Runyu. I am a native Chinese speaker. I understand how difficult it is for you to learn a new language, especially Chinese, as it is different from English.
It was how I felt when I started to learn English. I wasn't good at English all the time at school. I learned it really well for the first couple of years, then did it badly when we started to learn more and more grammar with very out of date textbooks. But English was one of the compulsory courses we have to take exams all the time. I have to find a way to learn it well and get high marks in the exams.
I am looking forward to using my experience of English learning to help you learn Chinese. Overall, they are all languages. It's a tool for us to see the world from different angles and be able to speak and understand people from the other side of the world.

- If you do not have a textbook, I would choose cartoons/TV series/movies/novels as the teaching material depending on your age. In this way, the learning is more exciting and you could learn some Chinese culture/history simultaneously.
- I have more than 3 years of experience as a personal tutor in English for Chinese students. I moved to Cambridge in 2017 and have more than 1-year experience in teaching Chinese.
