About Alice
Hello! My name is Alice, and I’m a native Mandarin speaker originally from Beijing and Xi’an, China. I’ve been living in the U.S. for the past ten years, and I truly enjoy learning about and experiencing the unique cultures of both countries—especially through exploring new foods and cooking recipes! Traveling with my family and discovering new places is one of my favorite ways to connect with people and cultures. As your Mandarin tutor, I’ll teach you to speak with the most standard Mandarin accent and help you discover the richness of traditional Chinese culture through storytelling and conversational lessons. For beginners, I’ll guide you step by step through phonetic spelling (pinyin) and word meanings, so you can confidently read Chinese characters aloud and understand their deeper connections. I offer flexible scheduling and open communication to make your learning experience enjoyable, personal, and effective. I look forward to learning and sharing with you!
