About Han
As you can see, I was born in China: a land rich in history and culture. Chinese as a language is so magical that the meanings between its glyphs and pronunciations are far thinner than those of the Latin alphabet, and yet relate to our intuition like a picture. Since the time of Qin Dynasty, the Chinese have been using the same script to communicate, to coordinate, to trade and to convey orders. But the dialects of the language remained different from place to place. The cultural identity that the Chinese language brings and the cultural tensions between people based on it are very moving, and I hope I can play a small part in the 21st century, when countless Chinese people go abroad to communicate with the world, and countless citizens of the world want to communicate with and understand the people of this land. And that is you, my future student: I will experience the beauty of the Chinese language with you and open a door to the Eastern world for you.
