About Shahira
I'm a native British English speaker and CELTA (Cambridge University accredited) qualified teacher with a particular interest in discovery-based and communicative approaches to learning, as well as integrating pronounciation (drilling and phonics) into lessons.
I have experience of teaching English language to pre- and upper-intermediate adult students (CELF A2-B2) with diverse language backgrounds (including Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, Arabic & Russian) as well as teaching children (ages 7-14).
Whether you wish to improve your English in a General English class or expand your Business English skills for work, I can help. I can prepare students for Cambridge exams, including the IELTS exam.
I can also offer individual or group lessons face-to-face in a lovely setting in North West London (subject to Covid 19 restrictions).

Lessons will be designed to meet your needs. At our first meeting, we will explore your learning background, the ways in which you learn best, and your own learning goals. After our initial conversation, which is free of charge, you can book some lessons, (units of 5 can work well), and I will create a lesson plan focusing on specific skills such as reading, listening, speaking, writing including presentation skills or essay preparation.
