About Larissa
Olá! I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with a strong background in teaching both Portuguese and English as second languages. I’ve been working as an ESL teacher for the past 8 years and teaching Portuguese as a Second Language (PLE) for the past 5 years.
I hold a CELTA certification from Cambridge and have a C2-level English proficiency (Cambridge Proficiency Certificate) as well as a B2-level French certification (DELF). I also have three Bachelor's degrees:

Film and Audiovisual Studies
I studied at Borger High School in Texas, USA, and completed a TESL course at C.C.A.A. in Rio de Janeiro. I’ve also worked with international exchange students at UFF (Universidade Federal Fluminense), teaching Portuguese for foreigners in academic and cultural contexts.
I'm passionate about language learning and teaching, and I tailor my lessons to meet each student’s goals and interests.

Larissa is an amazing teacher! We’ve been doing lessons for almost a year now and she is extremely knowledgeable and makes learning fun and easy! I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to learn a language beyond just grammar books - she incorporates the culture and slang into learning so you can actually communicate with locals.
I think Larissa is an amazing teacher. Her schedule is very flexible. She’s great at answering question and teaching at a good pace that best suits her students. I started with her a month ago and I’m already spelling and having conversations in Portuguese. Highly recommend
