• Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  Both, my mom is an English and Italian teacher and I am proud of my origins and I love to teach my native language.

• Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  In Italy, it was Dante Alighieri, the father of the Italian language.

• Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

  "Non dire gatto, se non l'hai nel sacco", is an Italian way of saying that you should not state that you did something, if you actually haven't done it yet.

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  It matters because I love to share my language and my culture.

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  Italian grammar can be quite confusing, the best way to learn is practice and repetition, learning by heart the grammar rules

  I travelled to London twice for language exchange experiences.

• How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  Living in London surely helped a lot in understanding better the English language and culture. Travelling all over Italy helped me in understanding better the culture and the different dialects of my home country.

  I love what I do and I am really passionate about it. Learning with me is not only useful, but also fun.
