About Pian
I’m a native Mandarin speaker with over ten years of experience teaching Chinese to learners of all ages, from young children to adults. I’ve lived abroad for more than 20 years and have been based in the UK for the past decade. I specialise in preparing students for the SQA National 5 and Higher Mandarin exams, and I’m passionate about helping each learner build confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to your goals — whether for exams, travel, or personal interest. I can teach in Mandarin, English, or Spanish, depending on your needs.

Pian is an excellent teacher. She is patient and cheerful, and has been quick to adapt her lessons to cover themes of interest to me, which I find very helpful in developing my Chinese conversation skills. I always enjoy her classes.
