About Samuel
I am a 3rd year student at the University of Edinburgh where I study Linguistics. I grew up in France and have been living there for 16 years; it is the place I call home. I am fluent in French and English. I have sat many French exams in France and in the U.K at various levels, achieving top grades. I have a TEFL qualification which allowed me to understand the proper structure of lessons and how to teach students. Throughout my school years, I helped other students with languages and exam technique.

I have a TEFL certification which, although focuses on English, allows me to structure classes to whatever you need. I understand exactly what is needed to pass an exam and will adapt classes/lessons to the level needed. Whether you simply wish to improve your spoken French for an upcoming holiday, or you have a school exam/job interview in French I will be able to help. I know that learning a language can be tedious at times (especially French) so I will use a variety of different exercises and teaching methods in my lessons to keep my student engaged. Written exercises, spoken roleplay, flashcards and the dreaded drilling of verbs. I do set homework but I am well aware that my students will have other priorities so I make sure that the workload is appropriate.

Details
My first lesson is free as I will use it to understand the needs of the student as well as testing their level. I do not charge for a cancellation although if a student is unable to attend a lesson then a little notice is preferred.
