About Ryan
Ryan is an experienced cello, drums, guitar, and piano teacher with over 15 years of experience. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts ("CalArts"), where he earned a BFA in Music Composition. Today, Ryan continues to share his passion for music through private lessons, teaching all ages. He also records freelance work for music libraries and composers, with credits that include Barbie, Glee, and playing in NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts.

Ryan incorporates the Suzuki Method but also draws on a variety of apps, books, and resources to cover areas not emphasized in the series (such as the book "Position Pieces" by Rick Mooney). To enrich the learning experience, Ryan also accompanies his students on guitar or piano, creating duet and ensemble opportunities that make lessons more engaging, musical, and rewarding.
