My name is Rifat, I am 20 years old and currently in my second year studying Medicine at the University of Southampton. When I was in my early years at school, I found learning difficult and my grades were average. At the beginning of my GCSEs, I told my teachers and peers that I wanted to become a Doctor. I often hear of teachers leaving young people with the impression that just because they may not be top of their class, that they cannot achieve what they want in life, and that they are not good enough. I am however a firm believer in the fact that there is no such thing as a bad student. I have been tutoring since the age of 17. I spent 2 years teaching GCSE Science alongside my A-Levels at my school. I focused specifically on students in the class who found the subject particularly difficult and worked individually with them to break down a given topic into its basic components and then use these foundations to build up a firm understanding of more challenging ideas.

Rifat taught my child GCSE maths and sciences and my son absolutely loved him! He achieved amazing grades and now going onto do A levels with adequate preparation. Rifat challenged my son from the beginning by first laying out the foundations and then pushed him further. I have witnessed the change myself through Rifat and don't know if my son would have done this well without him.
