About Kaity
As a Social Work student I currently intern at a Child Advocacy Center which works with children who have experienced abuse. Before this I was an advocate for survivor's of Domestic Violence. I am working to one day become a counselor so I can better serve individuals who have experienced trauma and those who have serious mental illnesses.

We would start lessons by reviewing your essays and brainstorming ways to create a thesis and create a structured essay. I can provide you with tips for finding and incorporating research into your writing and how to format citations in MLA or APA style. We could collaborate to create an outline for your writing and attempt to create a good introductory paragraph. Using the outline, I would ask you to attempt to write an essay in your own style and in another session we could review this and brainstorm ways to make it better. Through repetition and practice I will help you become the best academic writer you can be to prepare for college or excel in college classes you are already enrolled in.
I think that what sets me apart as a tutor is the variety of academic experiences I have had. My university had a Core Curriculum where I learned about Latin American Civilizations, Spanish, Sociology, Chemistry, Biology, and Poetry. I believe I can work efficiently because I am familiar with various forms of academic writing, from scientific writing to a literary essay. I believe I can help you with your writing skills whether you are trying to improve them for the SATs or for a specific class.
