My name is Emma, and I am a Baylor University graduate! While at Baylor, I studied Political Science, Spanish, and Economics in the Honors College. I graduated Summa Cum Laude. My success in school was determined by my ability to know HOW to study - a skill which many very bright students don't develop early enough. I want to help YOU develop that skill!

I am a firm believer that clarity and consistency are the keys to learning well. My lessons take the following format:
1. Explanation: I start with a clear explanation of the day's goals and concept(s), giving students a brief walk through of everything we’re doing.
2. Practice: I prepare a multitude of practice activities (style depending on the student). Practice allows a student to see a concept in action and ask relevant questions.
3. Self-quiz: I then provide the student with an opportunity to "test" their new skill.
4. Review: We’ll go over the student’s work together and fill in any learning gaps.
