About Ashley
I started giving lessons when I was a freshman in high school- that was 11 years ago! I have consistently been teaching in studios or freelancing since then.
I have taught numerous students. There is too many to count!
My students tend to prepare for recitals and other performances. Some of my students have auditioned and placed in ensembles they were interested in.

Hi! I am a very proficient musician and music teacher. My main instrument is the trumpet and my secondary instrument is the piano. I have played these both for 14 years. I grew up playing trumpet in numerous regional and national ensembles. When I was in college, part of my degree was to learn all of the standard instruments and be able to teach them; I am able to play and teach 20+ instruments! These include flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, euphonium/baritone, tuba, snare drum, timpani, marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, voice, guitar, ukulele. I can also give lessons in music theory and ear training!
I tend to teach lessons in a certain structure. I always start off with fundamentals and then go into sight reading and then actual music we are working on. Developing fundamentals is extremely important. I do modify this structure based on age and level of the student.
I like to have fun and create opportunities for my students. I bring in new ideas, games, songs, and activities to ensure you understand the concepts completely!
