About Georgia
I have a passion in helping individuals connect to their own inner music. We all have a musical vocabulary created over years and it is waiting to come out as we begin to learn an instrument. It may come out in playful exercises, song writing or simply mastering techniques to play an instrument. This ability becomes a part of our identity in a very helpful way usually as we join with others to make music or express parts of our life experiences through playing our own music or other people's.

Some pupils prefer to learn in a more directed way and be taught how to sing and/or play whilst others like to learn in a more experiential way through improvising together and being creative. I cater for the individual's approach and am always aware that there's a variety of learning styles, visual, aural and kinaesthetic (learning by doing). Children often have 30 min sessions with me, adults sometimes 45 or 60. I can travel to clients' houses. I work with a variety of ages and a variety of styles (exams, pop, jazz, song writing). I have over 20 years' experience in teaching piano and singing (PGCE music specialism Cambridge) Natural voice singing is based on the idea that we can all sing, it's our birthright. I work with adults to remove blocks and facilitate development of being heard and helping with confidence in pitching, breathing and projection. I also work with the expression of feelings as a music therapist. (Bristol MA) This works well with voice and/or instruments and is good for most people, whether they think they can "play/sing" or not.
