About Sami
I'm currently in my first year studying Music at the University of Oxford, and I'd really love to share my musical knowledge with enthusiastic students. I have a particular interest in jazz harmony and pop theory, but I'm also very familiar with classical theory and would be comfortable teaching all of the above. I also play quite a few instruments (jazz piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, melodica, vocals) and like to write my own music and gig in my spare time. I'm hoping that teaching will allow me to contribute to the community and help people gain the knowledge they need to achieve the results they want on their journey within the wonderful world of music :)

I'm willing to teach lessons of about 30min-1hr that cater to your own learning style - whether that be more visual, aural or practical. Due to the nature of my schedule, online lessons would be preferable as I am in Manchester during vacations and Oxford during term times.
I have no limits on age for my lessons as I think it is never too early or late to start learning music! I'm comfortable teaching at a beginner/intermediate level, so roughly Grade 1-5 by ABRSM standards. I can tutor specifically to pass a theory exam or to gain knowledge in general, but either way I have knowledge in a range of genres (classical, jazz and pop mainly) that I hope to share with you to make you a more rounded musician overall.
I have taken ABRSM theory exams up to Grade 8 myself, and I have also taken LCM Grade 8 Pop Theory. I have also taken many jazz piano lessons, so I can teach jazz theory if this is of interest.
