About Clara
My name is Clara Hurtado, I am currently studying a music performance postgraduate course at Kingston University. In 2017 I took part on The Voice U.k. and got through to the live shows. I am passionate about music and enjoy working with others. I am willing to teach anyone, no matter their experience in singing, as I believe singing is something everyone can enjoy. Though private tutoring is a slightly new route for me, I am confident in my musical and social abilities. I want to teach all that I have learned, and more, and have lots of fun in the process. I am happy to work with both adults and children of all ages.

During my degree, I have researched and learned about all aspects of performance such as performance anxiety and the psychological and physical benefits singing can bring. I intend to teach vocal and performance techniques in a relaxed yet proactive manner. I will be covering aspects such as breathing techniques, posture, facial resonance, and everything in between. A lot of my teaching will be based on the teachings of Janice Chapman.
Overall, I want the student to enjoy singing and gain confidence, whilst having fun and making a friend along the way.

Clara is not only one of the most talented singers and performers I've heard and seen, she is a really lovely person. Classes with Clara are the right blend of challenge and fun. If you want to learn to sing like a real pro, this is your tutor.
I’ve known Clara for 8 years now, her voice is incredible and she has so much talent to share that getting a chance to be taught by her is a no brainer, she’ll support you till the end
Because as well as being just the sweetest, you have demonstrated and proved yourself and your talent since way back before the voice, college and before the o2
Amazing vocalist which through her various music experience, she could give the students the valuable content on the lessons. Moreover, very friendly and nice person.
