About Rivir
The knowledge of music is a timeless art that has and should continue to be passed down throughout history. As someone who has enjoyed music from a very young age, I was very blessed to have a few mentors who were able to guide and feed me the knowledge to make me the musician I am today. My aim for teaching is to instil music as a creative outlet for my students so that they can produce their own unique sound just as I did. It is a truly wonderful experience being able to witness the growth in knowledge and excitement of my students as they improve in their art form over time.

Hi, i’m Rivir! I’m a music graduate from Macquarie University with immense knowledge in the world of music. For the past 5 years I have been teaching at music schools and tutoring music theory as well as a range of instruments.
My lessons cater for all ages at all different levels of experience. I have teaching experience in:
• Guitar (Electric, Acoustic)
• Bass Guitar
• Drums
• High School Music Theory
• HSC Music 1 (Practical, Theory)
Guitar/Bass/Drums:
Whether you’re looking to try out a new instrument or hone your skills as a musician, my lessons will cater for whatever you need. Lessons can range from learning through a textbook to build your skills of music fundamentals. This includes musical notation, rhythm understanding and correct playing techniques. Other lessons will start with basic chords so you can play along with the songs you love joyfully. All of these lessons are built on the premise that you’ll have fun whilst learning.
High School:
High School lessons can range from years 7-11 music theory to HSC level. With these lessons, I will deepen your understanding of the concepts of music. This knowledge is applicable to all levels of music throughout high school and will improve your critical listening responses dramatically. After these lessons, you’ll be confident in writing written responses in exam settings as we delve into past HSC papers and analyse them deeply.
I understand the core values and safety precautions of working with children. I have a valid WWCC and completed Child Protection Course Certificate that can be issued upon request.
