About Claire
I am a music conservatoire graduate with both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degree. I will begin pursuing a PhD in music composition in October. I have been classroom teaching for undergraduates in music theory, musicianship and music history for the last year alongside my previous tutoring experience. I believe in not just teaching concepts but also covering areas of special interest alongside the necessary information and explaining the relevance of these concepts to the specific situation of the student.

I have experience teaching both undergraduate level music theory, musicianship and music history both in the classroom and in one-on-one tutoring sessions. I have worked with all abilities (including complete beginners). My lessons are typically an hour in length (but can be adjusted to suit all needs). My lessons are typically personalised to the needs of the student, as no one teaching method works for everyone but I do have different sets of material for different abilities introducing most major concepts. My lessons for any ability up to university level and age above 6.
