About Indira
Beginning in 2017, I offered piano, violin, viola, and saxophone lessons to children in my neighborhood in Southeast Michigan. In 2018, I moved to California and established myself as a teacher at a music school in San Francisco's Richmond District, and worked with the Northern California Viola Society to organize and oversee masterclasses and concerto competitions. I am currently engaged in chamber music and freelance jazz events in Detroit, and now am a composition major at Wayne State University to strengthen my foundation in music theory and performance viola.

I have a holistic approach to music lessons, with musicality and passion as core aspects of teaching. Lesson plans include sightreading, ear training, music theory, composition, technicality exercises, movement techniques, repertoire pieces, and elementary piano if desired. I have experience teaching beginning and intermediate violin, viola, and piano students. I like meeting students where they're at and helping them discover and develop their passion for music.
