About Cristina
I have lived in several different countries growing up, among which are Italy, Greece, Malta and the UK, so I’ve learnt first hand the importance of learning new languages along with the importance of adaptation. We are all different and the way we learn is different too, which is why it’s important to understand and make the most of what helps us learn.
Going to international schools all my life I had a very high level of education which gave me an appreciation for learning but especially for the importance of making learning fun.
I love working with children (I've worked as a nursery nurse) but I also believe you are never too old to learn, and I find learning at any age to be both admirable and rewarding.
My grandmother, for example, has recently started learning English since my partner is British and I have helped her and my aunt with understanding the language whenever they needed help and with whatever questions they had. There’s nothing to be ashamed of in not knowing something, and there is all to be gained in learning.

Lessons are 30mins, 45 mins or 1h , but this is flexible.
My approach:
I believe one learns most when having fun which is why I tailor activities and learning methods to the individual's interests. Some activities to help with memorization may include: matching drawings/words, crosswords, word searches, and so on, and for outside of class watching movies/tv shows in Italian (any you have already watched) or reading books in Italian (even children's books).
General lesson content/plan:
1) learn common verbs and words
2) do activities to memorize them
3) speak, listen and read to understand them and learn how to use them
4) learn more complex verbs and words
5) repeat steps 2 and 3 for these.
If there is anything in particular a student would prefer to learn first or more in depth, that can easily be arranged.
