About Marlene
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have a degree in foreign languages and I was born in a multi lingual country thus making me sensitive to cultural differences. While in college in Canada, I tutored several middle and high school students and gained a lot of experience on the most effective techniques to make learning a foreign language a most enjoyable and fun experience.
I have done translations throughout my life in Corporate America and also served as a simultaneous interpreter at business meetings.

My preferred teaching method would be to use lots of visual aids, multi media resources and stories. Interactive learning is very important, allowing much discussion but at the student's comfort level and pace.
I will custom design each lesson plan to meet a particular student's current needs and desired growth level. I will provide resources for independent study and I will always be open-minded and responsive to the unique needs of each student.
I enjoy tutoring students from elementary all the way to high school.
