About Ramón

I consider myself a multidisciplinary artist who, through dance, seeks to develop human skills that connect people through pleasant environments.

Currently, I live in Paris since 2017 where I develop my career as an independent professional dancer, in addition to working on my doctorate at the Autonomous University of Madrid, on the professional inclusion of people with disabilities through the performing arts. Also, I also work in various specific projects related to the performing arts, such as the SHIFT DANCE project, which has been developing since 2018 with the companies Northern Ballet (United Kingdom) and Misiconi Dance Company (Netherlands).

My methodology aims to develop the skills of people through dance through a series of principles:
- Learning must be progressive and meaningful.
-Dance is the instrument to always use in order to transmit it in its general concept.
- The flexibility of the activities will be adaptable to the group.
- The practice and the exercises will be directed individually and in a group, but always with a group awareness.
- The learning processes, especially in the early stages, will be developed using natural movements adaptable to all.
- The exercises offered will be flexible, so that they can be adapted to all students according to their needs.
-The creation of a pleasant and suitable environment to develop, in a motivating way, the taste for the development of learning through dance.
- Safe practice through movements and exercises adapted to all individuals, so that the learning process and individual and collective values are respected.

On the other hand, through the application of the methodology of inclusive dance, we will seek to develop a space where we can connect body and mind through dance, seeking to develop skills in three fundamental areas:

a) Motor development.
- Know your own body and that of others through dance, developing a body shape.
- Control body energy through different materials through different rhythms and music.
- Improve physical skills (strength, balance, resistance, coordination ...) by avoiding frustration and body stiffness.
- Use space through dance by developing its orientation.
- Identify and know how to work in the different spatial levels of dance (floor, vertical position and jump).
- Recognize the movement of the body through other bodies.

b) Cognitive development.
- Understand and know how to adapt materials and proposals in your own body and that of others.
- Maintain an active attention and a positive and motivated attitude during the session.
- Use the word and the body as tools to express the feelings felt during the session.
- Incorporate sensations in the body and be able to evoke them through body memory.
- Develop the ability to remember a material in relation to space and the foreign body by considering factors such as its tempo and its quality through emotional memory.

c) Social development.
- Be aware of group work and dance in cooperation.
- Make dance an instrument of expression between bodies to discover and get to know them.
- Use progressive contact as a means of knowing your own body and that of others.
- Develop group listening by dancing.
- Recognize the mood of the group, favoring the support and support of the different members.
- Develop the communication capacity between the members and get the group to consider themselves as one.

d) Development of the imaginary.
- Create communication systems through the imagination where to express the inner world of the participants.
- Incorporate different elements giving them a different expressive and scenic use.
- Develop the ability to create materials individually, in pairs or in groups.
- See the body of others as an expressive instrument where you can express the dance together.
- Promote the creation of clean materials and the search for new lines of expression for the body.
