I’m a dedicated mental health professional with over 20 years of experience, specialising in psychological wellbeing, creating strategies to manage behaviours that challenge, and nature-based approaches. My passion lies in empowering individuals to nurture their mental health by teaching practical, evidence-based techniques tailored to their unique needs.
With an MSc in Psychology (Health & Wellbeing) and a Level 3 Trainer qualification, I bring both academic expertise and hands-on experience to my sessions. I’ve worked with diverse groups, from adults managing stress and anxiety to individuals navigating specific challenges relating to diagnoses like ADHD, schizophrenia, and dementia. My goal is to create a supportive, personalised learning experience where you feel heard, understood, and equipped to grow.

Techniques and teaching methodology:
I begin with an initial assessment of your needs and learning preferences to tailor lessons that meet your psychological wellbeing goals.
My sessions cover skills such as emotion regulation, grounding techniques, goal setting, mindfulness, stress management, anxiety reduction, and nature connection.
I also provide lessons on specific mental health challenges like ADHD, dementia, anxiety, stress, and depression.
I follow the VARK learning style but adapt lessons flexibly to your strengths and progress, providing worksheets and ongoing support.
My sessions are educational, aimed at providing you with a toolbox of skills to manage mental wellbeing, they are not therapy sessions nor a substitute for appointments with a mental health professional.
• Typical length of a lesson: Sessions typically last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on your needs and availability.
• Qualifications/experience as a tutor: I hold an MSc in Psychology (Health & Wellbeing), have 20 years of mental health experience, am a Level 3 Trainer, and have a decade of delivering training. From August 2026, I will also offer the Level 2 Nature Connection and Wellbeing qualification (Ofqual accredited).
• Who the lessons are for: My lessons are designed for adults seeking to improve their mental wellbeing, manage specific mental health challenges, or gain accredited qualifications. I work with individuals at all stages, tailoring support to meet your unique needs.
I offer sessions online or face-to-face in selected locations across Shropshire and Staffordshire, currently including Newport Canal, Cannock Chase, Haughmond Hill, and Comer Woods.
