My undergraduate degree is in Economics but my passion is English! I love it and I’m very good at it ! I have experience in tutoring as I used to volunteer in a local school where I helped prepare students for their GCSE examinations.

My teaching approach would be rigid in the sense that I would always stick to/ follow the syllabus and ensure the student could apply what we had learnt in the exam to get the optimal amount of marks. I believe 20% of my success in my examinations was due to my manipulation of the mark scheme! It’s the most important piece of criteria we can use and with my help the students will know it inside and out thus making it easier to attain easy marks. Additionally, I would focus primarily on the students weaknesses within their reading/writing in order to build their confidence and address any areas that may bring their average mark down.
