About Francis
My name is Francis Eduafo Paintsil, a professional mathematics teacher with 12 years of experience in the high school grade (from 10-12) and 3 years at the intermediate grade (from 6-9). I hold a bachelor's degree in mathematics education. I'm confident in my ability to inspire and educate students. I'm a Ghanaian, born and raised in Saltpond in the Central Region of Ghana but currently living in Vryburg in South Africa. I grew up in a family of educators and always knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives of young people. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I've been driven by a passion for learning and a desire to share that passion with others. As a teacher, I believe in creating a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and critical thinking. My goal is to inspire students to become lifelong learners, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in an ever-changing world. I'm an enthusiastic and passionate teacher who values resilience, empathy and love. I begin my lessons with thought provoking questions that are relevant to real life applications. I encourage active learning and participation through experiments, simulations or projects that promote learners understanding, performance and development. I incorporate technology or ICT tools in my teaching which enhances learners understanding. I offer constructive feedback which helps learners to improve and grow whilst I celebrate or reward their successes.
