About Mia

I am a songwriter, performer, and music teacher. My music is reminiscent of American folk songs and Australian singer-songwriter. I also play guitar, keyboard and a little bit of fiddle. I love sharing what I’ve learned, and helping musicians at all levels to hone their skills, confidence, and creativity!

About the lesson

- Student-directed lessons: tell me your goals/style/vision and I’ll give you the tools to achieve it.
- Anatomy-based pedagogy: I use my Estill Voice Training to give you a scientific (no nonsense!) understanding of your voice.
- Artistry and songwriting: as an experienced, award-winning songwriter, I can help you write original music and explore your artistic identity.

I was recommended to Mia because I wanted to get back into live performance after a long time away from the scene. She helped me understand my voice again and gave me the confidence to get back on stage. Her knowledge of vocal mechanics is impressive and she has a real gift for breaking things down simply. I’d recommend her to anyone.
