About Karen
"How do you navigate the technical demands of breath control and harmony singing while maintaining a relaxed posture? I structure our time to ensure we tackle these hurdles using a supportive and energetic pace. Since I hold an MMus degree, my pedagogical foundation is rooted in high-level conservatory standards.
We will work through pitch control and specific vocal drills that I assign after every single session to reinforce our progress. Performance-focused students find this rigorous but rewarding approach keeps them sharp for auditions. It is genuinely enjoyable to watch a student conquer a difficult phrase after dedicated practice. The consistency we build during these meetings leads to the most significant breakthroughs for my students."

"Training as a classical vocalist at King's College London and the Royal Academy of Music shaped my artistic identity. I am a performer at heart who transitioned into coaching after 13 years of intensive study. My studio consists of choristers, choral scholars, and dedicated classical voice students aiming for conservatoire entrance. I prioritise honest feedback regarding stage fear, vocal health, and microphone technique.
Helping kids and returning learners refine their head and chest voice remains a central focus of my work. Outside of the studio, I spend much of my free time attending live orchestral performances to keep my ears sharp."
