About James
I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and an MS in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I have spent the last 30 years working in engineering and engineering management.
I started tutoring while I was in grad school, and except for a break when my kids were little, I have been doing it ever since. Math and physics can be intimidating. I can help.

I believe there are two steps to mastering any principle in high school math and physics. First, you need to understand the principle thoroughly enough that you can explain it to someone else. Second, you have to practice using it to solve problems.
I can guide you through both steps. I typically will pre-read the material you are covering so I can come prepared to help. We'll start with a quick discussion of the topic and then jump into solving problems. Along the way, if I see any gaps in your understanding, I will help you fill them in.
