About Mara

Hi, I'm Mara a tutor specializing in teaching kids to create with technology through Minecraft Education and Roblox Studio. I work with young learners of all levels, from complete beginners to kids ready to write their first lines of code, and I also teach AI tools to students of all ages.

My lessons are structured, goal-focused, and tailored to each student's pace and interests. Every session ends with something your child has built themselves, and parents receive a short progress update afterward.

I'm patient, reliable, and punctual, and I take pride in creating a safe, encouraging space where kids build real skills and confidence. I look forward to helping your child go from playing games to making them!

With a background in software development and over 10 years of teaching experience in colleges, children’s academies and online, I make learning practical, clear and engaging. I help children understand their code, work through mistakes and bring their own ideas to life.

My approach is patient and encouraging, with lessons adapted to each child’s pace, helping them build confidence, independence and coding skills.

About the lesson

Does your child love Minecraft or Roblox? My lessons turn that enthusiasm into practical coding skills through creative, hands-on projects.

Kids learn best when they're building something they care about. In my lessons, students use Minecraft Education and Roblox Studio to learn real skills through play.

Minecraft Education: block-based coding with MakeCode, Code Builder and the Agent, redstone logic, building challenges, and creative projects.

Roblox Studio: building and designing a first game, then learning Lua scripting step by step (doors, points, checkpoints, simple game mechanics).

Every lesson has a clear goal and ends with something the student made. I adapt the pace to each child, whether they're brand new or already playing regular Minecraft or Roblox.

Suitable for ages 8-14. Lessons online via screen share.

A typical lesson includes:
• A quick recap and a new coding concept explained simply.
• A guided challenge with clear, step-by-step instructions.
• Time to experiment, personalize the project and practice solving problems.
• A short review where your child shows what they created and explains what they learned.

With a background in software development and over four years of experience teaching programming and robotics, I help children understand their code, work through mistakes and develop their own ideas.

My approach is patient and encouraging, with lessons adapted to each child’s pace. The aim is for your child to feel proud of what they create while building confidence, independence and coding skills.
