I am currently a Middle School Mathematics Teacher at Amistad Academy Middle School in New Haven. I have also served as a Freelance Tutor, a Tutor for Kumon, and a part-time Nanny for children of ages 5 all the way up to 17.

Teaching is all about reframing questions and the patience that allows the young Scholars to come to their own understandings. Whether the setting is the formal classroom or a standardized testing environment, Math problems can be made to deceive and challenge young Scholars. And so, I believe it's important to hang with the student as they form their own conclusions and perceptions of difficult problems.
