About Alivia
I am a recent graduate of Thomas More University, where I played college volleyball. I worked as a substitute teacher and volleyball coach for three years while completing my education, and I am now a full-time middle school teacher. I have multiple years of tutoring and educational experience.
My age and experiences allow me to be understanding, approachable, and relatable to students. As a child, I struggled with reading fluency and received reading intervention myself. Now, being able to help students with reading is especially meaningful to me. Having personally experienced these struggles gives me a unique perspective and understanding that can help me connect with students who may be facing similar challenges.
