  • 1) When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

I have always wanted to know how computers really work. This interest grew while I was a student at the University of Waterloo. I realized that the most exciting part of tech is where software meets hardware. Today, at Microsoft, I help build the chips and systems that make AI possible. I love solving the puzzles that make computers faster and smarter.
  • 2) What makes you passionate about your subject?

I love taking a slow, complicated system and making it run perfectly. AI can seem like "magic" to many people, but it is actually just very smart engineering. I am passionate about opening that "black box" and showing students how the plumbing of a computer works. When you understand the basics, you can build anything.
  • 3) What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

I spent two years as a TA at the University of Waterloo, which is known for having one of the most prestigious engineering programs in Canada. That experience taught me how to explain difficult topics in a way that anyone can understand. What makes me a "Superprof" is that I bring real-world experience from my job at Microsoft. I don't just teach what is in the textbook; I teach what actually matters in the tech industry today.
  • 4) Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

My favorite teachers were the ones who pushed me to ask "Why?" instead of just giving me the answer. They taught me that if you truly understand the fundamentals, like how data is stored or how an algorithm moves, you can solve even the biggest problems. I try to bring that same "deep dive" style to my own students.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

    • Stay Curious: Always try to understand how things work under the hood.

    • Small Steps: I break every big, scary problem into small pieces that are easy to solve.

    • Practice and Polish: Whether it is a coding interview or a big project, I keep practicing until the solution is as fast and clean as possible.
