About Israel
I am an enthusiastic learner who prefers learning by observation and practical understanding of the concepts and mechanisms behind every subject topic I come across. Since my early school days, I have been so intentional about having a practical understanding of how things work rather than mindlessly cramming and memorizing definitions, and this has shaped my approach to teaching too. This tendency for empiricism made me develop a passion for science and I have shown excellence in all my studies over the years. I graduated from my secondary school as the best student in my school as well as in all schools in my local government area, which gave me the opportunity to win a scholarship to undergo a Leadership training program in the UK. Subsequently, I obtained a BSc degree (second class upper honors) in Microbiology from the University of Ibadan. Much more than excellent learning, I have also developed excellent communication and delivery skills as well as excellent teaching skills with so much patience in explaining and breaking down concepts to my students until thorough understanding is attained

I adopt a simplified approach to teaching using detailed explanations and step-by-step breaking down of complex topics. I ensure my students understand first the basic concepts behind any topic while also giving practical examples and relevant real-life illustrations, and I give a lot of room for questions and clarifications. All of my classes have a maximum length of 1hr 30 mins after which I ensure to give breaks. I have tutored several secondary school students, most of whom have gained admissions into reputable institutions in Nigeria to study science and medical courses.
