About Michael
Mike (or Michael) Rodgers is an experienced music educator with over 20 years experience at the local, state, and national level. He has taught all grades from K-College, and everything in between. He is a certified NYSSMA Adjudicator, certified in World Music Drumming, has studied music at the collegiate level with both a bachelors and master’s degrees in music education. He currently serves as a Director of Music and Performing Arts for a school district in New York supervising 25 music and performing arts staff. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor at a local college. As an experienced performer he has performed extensively in various settings, and on local, national, and international television. He can help in various areas for music educations and performance and looks forward to speaking with you!

As a music educator with over 20 years of experience, I offer music coaching for both teachers and students. With specialties in areas such as: modern band, music theory, AP Music Theory, Voice, Piano, Guitar, Auxiliary Percussion, Adjudication and Audition Prep, Conducting, Composition, Arranging, repertoire, and world music.
Lessons are designed for inspired learned with a structure that promotes musical fluency, literacy, vocabulary, and can be tailored with differentiated instruction.
Learning targets and goal oriented lessons will provide a comprehensive approach to understanding music based on neurological evidence for retention and growth.
