About JAD
My name is Jad and I am a first-year MEng student at University College London (UCL), one of the world's top-ranked universities, where I study Sustainable Built Environments, Energy and Resources at The Bartlett — UCL's renowned Faculty of the Built Environment.
I grew up in Casablanca, Morocco, where I attended the prestigious Lycée Lyautey, a French institution known for its academic rigour. I graduated with strong results across the board — 18/20 in Maths, 18.5/20 in Further Maths, 17/20 in Physics, 19/20 in Sport and 16/20 in Philosophy. I also studied Latin during my middle school years.
Beyond academics, I am someone who believes in giving back. I volunteered in the reconstruction of a school in rural Morocco following the 2023 earthquake, where sustainability and resilience were at the heart of the project. I also led a solar panel installation project on a farm, combining technical knowledge with real-world environmental impact.
I speak four languages — French (native), English (C1), Arabic and a bit of Spanish — which allows me to connect with students and families from a wide range of backgrounds, something I consider a real strength as a tutor in a city as diverse as London.
Outside of my studies, I have been playing piano for 7 years and basketball for 8, which have taught me the value of consistency, patience and perseverance — qualities I bring to every tutoring session. I am a qualified National Pool Lifeguard (RLSS UK), which further reflects my sense of responsibility and professionalism.
I am genuinely invested in the progress of every student I work with, and I take pride in making complex subjects accessible, engaging and even enjoyable.

As a first-year MEng student at University College London (UCL), I offer personalised Maths tutoring for students from Year 7 up to A-Level.
My approach is student-centred: I start each new student with a short assessment to identify their weak points and build a tailored lesson plan from there. I believe in making concepts truly understandable rather than just memorised — building strong foundations is everything in Maths, especially when working towards GCSEs and A-Levels.
My lessons typically last 1 hour, though 1.5-hour sessions are available for students needing more intensive exam preparation. I am comfortable teaching in English, French, Arabic making me particularly suited to bilingual or international families.
I hold a French Scientific Baccalauréat with Maths as a core specialisation, achieving 18/20 in Maths and 18.5/20 in Further Maths. My engineering degree at UCL requires a high level of mathematical thinking on a daily basis, meaning the content I teach is something I actively use and live with.
Whether your child needs to catch up, consolidate their understanding, or push for top grades, I adapt to their pace and learning style. I am patient, structured and genuinely enjoy helping students have those 'I finally get it' moments.
