About Isabella

I am a Writing Professional with degrees in Professional and Creative Writing, concentrations in Copywriting, Grant Writing, and Poetry, and a minor in Marketing. Additionally, I taught ESL in a public high school in Vietnam, tutored elementary school students in English, and taught “Introduction to The Creative Process” at Western Connecticut State University as a Graduate Assistant Professor. I am currently working on completing my debut poetry book and am working as a Copywriting intern at Wasserman.

About the lesson

Creative freedom flourishes best when grounded in a solid understanding of craft. My lessons aim to guide students through a process that balances imaginative exploration with the development of technical skills.

I encourage an environment that allows students to ask questions, think critically, and remain supportive, so students feel safe to take creative risks.

By dissecting how professional writers achieve their effects, students begin to see craft as a toolkit they can adapt for their own purposes. I'll often integrate discussions of notable published works into our lessons to learn how to analyze text for structure, language, and technique for test prep and ultimate understanding.

My mission is to help students gain confidence as writers, to express their ideas with clarity and power.
