I like to teach using dialogue and conversations, reading and listening some podcasts in spanish.
Vocabulary is learned based on the needs and suggestions of the student.

Perfect! Alejandro ha sido un profesor de español excepcional para nuestro hijo. Es una persona maravillosa, de gran corazón y una manera de ser muy agradable. He has so many interesting stories to talk about and he is so sympathetic with people in need. Married with a wonderful woman.
He jokes a lot about not being able to learn because of his age but I know he can do it, and he will do it eventually.
Perfect! Perfecto! In every way, Alex is absolutely the best! My wife and I wanted to continue our efforts to learn Spanish after we completed a 3-week intensive Spanish class. Alex is mature and has a great deal of life experience, is a successful business person, and has a very engaging personality. He knows when to push us and when to give us some breathing room. He was easily able to adapt to our needs; we wanted to explore Merida and the Yucatecan and focus on "conversations". He is fun to be around and truly enjoys meeting new people and helping them learn/continue-to-learn Spanish. I would absolutely recommend him!
- Jim lleva poco tiempo aprendiendo español y tiene un muy buen avance en la fluidez de sus palabras. Tiene un gran interés por aprender de las conjugaciones de los verbos irregulares (que siempre son difíciles y confusos) e invierte bastante tiempo en aprender vocabulario así como en practicar el español de varias formas. Perfect! My purpose in engaging a teacher was to have the opportunity to converse and by doing so to refresh and improve my Spanish language vocabulary as well as to gain knowledge of the Yucatecan culture.

My purpose in engaging a superprof teacher was to have conversations on a variety of topics and Alex has proved to be excellent in this regard. He is a Mérida native with some knowledge of the United States, is well-educated and an experienced and successful entrepreneur who has many life experiences. All of these points lend themselves to interesting and useful conversation. He has been very helpful with advice about negotiating life here, is patient and takes the time to explain vocabulary and correct me where necessary. I appreciate his relaxed style and near-normal speaking speed. His experience in having visited an English-speaking country facilitates cross-cultural understanding. It has been a pleasure having him as a teacher!
