I was lucky to have Sebastian Zuniga direct my original full-legnth production, “That Big Voice Inside My Head” for The New York Theater Festival. Throughout the four-month process, Sebastian breathed a new life into the play and added incredible nuance.
Sebastian has a unique sense of play, patience, and adaptability— which enhanced my acting performance and the overall play tenfold. I remember a rehearsal day when I left the room feeling incredibly fullfilled and prepared thanks to Sebastian’s clever use of physical gameplay. And it was a plus that my stomach also hurt from laughing so much… Sebastian’s hard work earned him the nomination of “Best Director” for “That Big Voice Inside My Head” thanks to his creativity, use of space, and whimsicality.
