About Zena
As a singing tutor with 7 years of experience, I am deeply passionate about helping students explore the beauty of music and develop their vocal abilities. I teach school and college students who want to learn singing in a supportive and encouraging environment. My goal is to help students understand their voice and learn how to use it effectively through proper technique and regular practice. In my lessons, I focus on breathing exercises, pitch accuracy, tone improvement, and vocal confidence. I believe that every student has the potential to sing well when they receive the right guidance and motivation.
During my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to guide many students who later performed in cultural events, competitions, and music programmes at their schools and colleges. These achievements are meaningful milestones for me as a teacher because they reflect the progress and confidence of my students. I also encourage students to express emotions through music and develop their own musical identity.
My teaching style is patient, friendly, and focused on helping students feel comfortable while learning. I believe that music education should inspire creativity and self-confidence. For me, teaching singing is not only about improving vocal skills but also about helping students discover the joy of music.

My teaching methodology for singing combines flexibility, creativity, understanding, and efficient time management to provide a comprehensive learning experience. I believe that every student’s voice is unique and capable of growth with the right guidance and practice. I begin by developing foundational skills, including breathing techniques, vocal warm-ups, pitch control, tone improvement, and articulation.
Creativity is emphasised in my lessons because singing is an art form that allows students to express emotion and individuality. I encourage students to explore different musical genres and experiment with song interpretation to develop confidence and a personal singing style.
Understanding each student’s abilities, goals, and challenges allows me to provide tailored guidance and constructive feedback.
Lessons are carefully structured to balance technical exercises, song practice, and performance preparation. In addition to singing, I also teach rhythm, music theory, and stage presence to help students grow into well-rounded musicians.
