About Geraint
I am a first class student of Medieval History who arrived at University to study Geography. I have a range of experience taking modules in Geography, Earth Science, Ancient History, Medieval History and Archaeology. For the last two years my focus has been on Medieval History, particularly socio-cultural histories and how these interface with the historic environment.

I am offering tuition for students of secondary School age. Whilst it is often tempting to think about history’s key skill as being able to recall key dates and kings, being able to work with limited information to form careful and nuanced arguments is the heart of the discipline. My methodology is about helping students structure arguments about the past, read sources appropriately and carefully, and pull apart the smallest details which reveal whole systems. I struggled with history in school, and ended up not taking it to A-Level, largely because during classes there was very limited time to develop these skills. My focus as a tutor will be to help foster these key skills.
