About Miriam
I'm a first year medical student studying at University of Nottingham. I applied to the Universities of Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield and Leicester in 2018. I achieved a UCAT score of 3460 (880 QR, 870 VR, 870 DM, 870 AR, SJT Band 1) and received 4 offers after MMI interviews at each.
I have experience tutoring students in GCSE Chemistry and Physics, as well as running a medical application preparation group where I led sessions that focused on admissions tests (content and technique), personal statements and interview techniques.

As a tutor, I'd be looking to spend some time with you to help you figure out your strengths and areas to focus on through practice questions, and come up with a plan to improve your skills in a structured way so that you feel as confident and prepared as possible, as well as passing on some tips and resources that I found helpful personally. I believe the best way to learn is to understand the concepts fully, and not just follow a list of instructions, so that you'll be fully equipped to deal with any tricky questions that are thrown at you.
Sessions could be online or in person, and I am flexible in the way we approach them as I'd like to tailor my teaching to what works best for you to learn, plus checkpoints to review your progress and keep on track so that you're ready when you need to be.
