About Jas
Hello, I’m Jas, a Medical Student at the University of Leeds with experience tutoring students from KS2 through to A-Level.
I have experience tutoring Biology, Chemistry and Maths, helping students build their confidence, strengthen their understanding and develop effective exam techniques.
I also support students applying to Medicine and Dentistry, including UCAT preparation, personal statement guidance and realistic MMI mock interviews. Having personally gone through the university application process, I understand how competitive these courses can be and how important effective preparation is.
My teaching approach is friendly, patient and tailored to each student. I break challenging topics into simple explanations and then use questions and practical examples to make sure students can apply what they have learnt. For exam preparation, I place particular emphasis on exam technique, problem-solving and understanding how to maximise marks.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, whether they are looking to improve their grades, prepare for exams, build confidence or work towards a competitive university application.
I like to break difficult topics down into simple, easy-to-understand explanations before working through examples and exam-style questions together. I focus on making sure students understand the topic rather than simply memorising information. For GCSE and A-Level students, I place particular emphasis on exam technique, applying knowledge and understanding how to approach different question styles.
For UCAT preparation, we can work through practice questions together, identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for approaching different question types efficiently.
For Medicine and Dentistry interviews, I offer realistic mock MMI questions and interview scenarios, allowing students to practise answering questions under timed conditions and receive constructive feedback on their answers, communication and structure. I can also help with personal statements and university applications.
Lessons are typically 1 hour, although I can be flexible depending on the student's needs.
I am a Medical Student at the University of Leeds and have experience tutoring students across KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I have tutored A-Level Biology and Chemistry, supported students with GCSE Maths and Science, and helped aspiring Medicine and Dentistry applicants with UCAT and MMI preparation.
I teach students of a range of ages and abilities and aim to create a friendly, supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is for every student to leave a lesson feeling more confident and knowing exactly what they need to work on next.
