About Sheema
A medical degree graduate with experience in teaching and administrative work. Successfully initiated a project for a startup company-involving healthcare (public health).
As you will see from the attached CV, I have built my career mainly in the medical industry. I have recently completed my Masters in Science Public Health at the International Medical University, Malaysia in March 2021.
I am interested in carving out a niche for myself in the academic world where I can devote myself to teaching and research.
I have a passion for teaching and I plan to be involved in the education industry upon completion of my masters program. Recently, I was teaching temporarily as a Science teacher in Tenby School, Penang.

As a General Manager previously for a medical company focusing on medical education and preventive healthcare, I worked in a culturally diverse, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. This experience fortified my interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills and gave me the opportunity to showcase some of my strongest personal qualities, such as adaptability and teamwork. I had the opportunity to conduct health talk in various organizations in Penang to educate the people on the importance of preventive healthcare. Based on the success of my health talks and seminars, I developed a passion for education, and continued my studies to obtain a Master of Public Health with IMU. With that, I am able to further my knowledge and explore more opportunities in the academic field thereafter my course.
Currently, as a teacher in the Cambridge centre, I have had the opportunity to teach students from all academic levels, which also meant continuous inspiration and fine-tuning of teaching tools to facilitate their learning.
I would like to help students out there who has difficulties understanding concepts and teaching them how to apply and remember them. I would plan my lessons by topics, areas which are important to cover and learn to tackle them. The technique used would be helping them understand the logic behind what they do by using critical thinking with what they read and hence to apply them out so it would be easier for them to remember. At the same time, as I would like them to enjoy my classes.
