About Ian
Hiya! I'm Ian, and I'll be starting Medicine at Imperial this October. Whether its A levels, GCSEs, or applying to medical school, I'm confident that under my guidance you won't be just another applicant, but a confident candidate that will stand out.
Having completed my medical school application and sat my A levels this past academic year, my understanding of medical school admissions is as up to date as possible. As evidenced by my LAMDA gold medal certification and participation in the Oxford Schools Debate Competition, my communication skills will make sharing my knowledge of the medical school application, including the personal statement, admissions tests, and academic subjects more straightforward. Finally, as someone who attended 10 admissions interviews as an international candidate, my experience would be useful in helping you ace your own interviews.
Applying to medicine can be intimidating, but I firmly believe that a partnership between us can lead to meaningful improvement. I look forward to meeting you soon!

I would describe my teaching style as personalized and adaptive. From experience, I know that every student and every subject requires a different approach. I aim to support my students by fostering strong critical thinking and active learning so that they can overcome a variety of challenges throughout their academic careers.
My lessons are aimed at year 12-13 students looking to apply to medical school or taking A level stem subjects. My lessons are typically 1-2 hours although this can be adjusted at my students’ discretion.
I have received medicine offers from the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, King’s College London GKT School of Medicine, the University of Edinburgh, and Imperial College London where I currently study as an international applicant. I achieved 4A* in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. I also achieved 3270 B1 in UCAT and 7.5 6 4A in BMAT. Finally, I was a gold medalist in the British Biology and Chemistry Olympiads.
