About Kristina
I am a medical student at Vilnius University with a strong academic background in mathematics and science, as well as experience tutoring high school students in mathematics and SAT Math preparation. Over the past years, I have worked with students of different levels, helping them improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance through personalized lessons and structured preparation.
My teaching experience started while volunteering with younger students, helping them with homework and daily learning. Later, I began tutoring individually and eventually worked in a tutoring company where I taught 11th–12th grade students preparing for mathematics exams. These experiences taught me how to adapt explanations to different learning styles and make difficult topics feel more approachable.
What matters most to me as a tutor is creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts instead of memorizing formulas mechanically. I especially enjoy teaching logical thinking and problem-solving strategies, because I believe these skills are valuable far beyond mathematics itself.
Outside of academics, I am interested in neuroscience, psychology, robotics, ballet, and science in general, which helps me bring curiosity and creativity into my lessons as well.

As a tutor, I focus on helping students truly understand mathematics instead of simply memorizing formulas or methods. I believe that every student can improve with the right explanation, practice, and support. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adapted to each student’s individual pace and learning style.
A typical lesson usually starts with identifying the student’s strengths and difficulties. Then we work through concepts step by step, solve problems together, and gradually move toward more independent problem solving. I also focus on exam strategies, logical thinking, and recognizing patterns, which is especially important for SAT Math and high school exam preparation.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain complex ideas in a simple and understandable way while creating a supportive learning environment. I am not the type of tutor who pressures students harshly — instead, I try to motivate them, make lessons engaging, and help them gain confidence in their abilities. I often connect mathematical concepts to real-life situations and encourage students to think critically and independently.
As a medical student with a strong academic background in mathematics and science, I understand both the discipline and the stress that can come with demanding studies, so I always try to make lessons productive but also approachable and motivating.
