About Diya
I am a medical statistician currently working in clinical trials, with a strong academic background in both science and quantitative analysis. I hold a First-Class BSc in Neuroscience from QMUL and a Distinction MSc in Applied Statistical Modelling and Health Informatics from KCL.
Alongside my professional work, I have over 4 years of experience tutoring GCSE Maths and Science students with a range of abilities and learning styles. I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they may find challenging and supporting them in achieving their academic goals.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and tailored to the individual student. I focus on helping students develop a clear understanding of concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and strengthen exam technique in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Outside of tutoring, I have a strong interest in data analysis and healthcare research. Over the past 3 years, I have worked in clinical trials across a range of therapeutic areas, including perinatal and cardiovascular health.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style, with a focus on building confidence, strengthening problem-solving skills, and developing a clear understanding of mathematical concepts rather than relying purely on memorisation.
I use structured explanations, worked examples, and exam-style questions to help students improve both their understanding and exam technique. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in maths.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and taught online. I mainly teach GCSE Maths students, including those preparing for exams, aiming to improve grades, or looking to build stronger foundations in maths.
